“Absolution is the most powerful form of forgiveness, a full pardon from suspicion and accountability. It’s the liberation of a stolen future, a future my father never lived to see. Absolution is a mercy that people who killed him will never know.”
During the summer holiday, I’ve watched a lot of American TV series. I found <Revenge> is a very interesting and attractive TV play. Like the title says, the whole play is about revenge. When Amanda was little, her dad was being frame by the Grayson Family. So she decided to follow her dad’s lead, and find out the truth. She changed her identity; she changed her name into Emily Throne. In order to get close to the Graysons, she starts a relationship with Daniel Grayson but meanwhile she is in love with Aiden and she never really gets over with her first love when she was little, Jack. All these connections in the play really give the audience a sense of mysterious. On Amanda’s way to revenge, lots of things happened, lots of people died…I think you are going to love this.
Two people I really like: Victoria Grayson and Emily Throne. Victoria is Daniel’s mother, who once had affair with Amanda’s Dad. Of course she has a lot to do with the frame. She’s a woman who always thinks of everything and she is like the queen of revenge in this play. Just like Emily. I guess men aren’t the only creatures that know how to revenge, in this play, women know better. One thing I love about it, there are many sayings in the play that really can make people think. Well, all I want to say is that it’s a good play so you really should watch it.
“Revenge is a stony path, remember, inside the viper's nest, you must be a viper, too.”
